By not touching their face, acne sufferers avoid transferring the oil and bacteria that cause breakouts to other sites. Additionally, popping blemishes is risky and can sometimes result in pain, infections and scarring.

Salicylic acid is a common ingredient found in skin care products that fight acne. It is the main ingredient that works in conjunction with beta hydroxyl acids to help with rapid exfoliation.
