Types Of Esthetician Test Questions In A Certification Exam

By Estelle Larsen

When you want to become a professional, there is an examination that you have to go through. It might be so that you can become certified or so that you can get your license for the profession you have entered. If you wish to become an esthetician, then you will be instructed to answer a set of esthetician test questions.

It is only a given for the aspiring professionals to pass this testing. After all, this is the best way to ensure that you get the qualification that will prove all your hard work. You should never fail this exam if you want to walk the path of a professional as soon as possible. Failing means retaking the test and studying hard again.

The said testing should not be taken for granted. After all, it is a measure of one's skills and capabilities for the said profession so you have to give your best foot forward for it. Otherwise, you will not be able to work in this profession. If you are testing, then here are the exam types you should be aware of.

Multiple choice. You need to answer this question type by choosing among the choices given to you. You will be granted at least two choices for this. At least one of the choices is supposed to be the correct answer to the given question. In the standard tests, you will usually be given four options to choose from.

Identification. In this type, you will have to take note of some trigger words to be able to answer. The tactic of using trigger word is best used when you are having a hard time memorizing the full definition of terms. This type of test will require you to give the correct term the given definition is referring to, after all.

Matching type. It is a mix of a multiple choice and identification type. One column will give the definition of the word. Another column is for the possible answers. You have to choose in the column containing the possible answers which one is best referred to by the definition written in the second column.

True or false. For the said type, you will be given statements that are either true or false. In standard instructions, you will write true for the correct statements and false for those that are wrong. There is a modified type to this though. Sometimes, you will be asked to correct the word or phrase in the statement that makes it false.

Fill in the blank. This is the type of testing type where you will be given incomplete statements. A blank will substitute the missing words. You will be the one to give the correct words in there. It will be easier for you if you have choices you can choose from. Some quizzes usually give these choices though.

Essay. Your reasoning skills and writing skills will be tested when you face this question type. You will have to state and defend your answer when you are given a problem here. You will need to articulate your mind in writing when you are asked to answer this.
