Finding A Trusted Nail Salon

By Aimee Schwartz

If you need to have your nails cleaned and trimmed, there are skilled individuals in the salon that can serve you while you just relax and read a magazine or play with your phone. But when you feel a sudden jolt of pain on your toenail, you know that there is something wrong. Getting your nails trimmed the wrong way may get to a point of developing painful ingrowns.

But mistakes in clipping and cleaning the nails could not be the only reason for developing ingrowns. Nail salon in Las Vegas, NV have skilled professionals who will take care of your nails properly. But the responsibility of giving remedies for the ingrown developed must be entrusted to your doctor. This is to avoid further infections.

Some of the most common reasons for having ingrowns are very tight shoes and high heels, wrong trimming and clipping, fungal infections, injury close to the nail, and genetic. Thus, it cannot be blamed totally to a salon professional if you develop one. This could be really dangerous since there are conditions that even need immediate medical attention like surgery.

The part that is often affected are the sides of the big toenail. Some of the signs and symptoms are redness, swelling, and extreme pain. As it worsens, it could start draining a yellowish pus. You will know that it is already infected if you start to have fevers and the swelling becomes bigger.

If you feel like having a fever, consult your doctor right away because it is a sign of an infection. The doctor is the only one who can affirm the infection. And he or she is the only one who knows which is the best and safest remedy for it. He will recommend and xray as well as a surgery whenever needed.

There are different home remedies to this. If you can detect it earlier, the better. The first thing you can do is soak the foot in lukewarm water about four times in a day. Then it should be cleaned and washed with mild soap and water twice a day and wipe it dry. While it is still not healed, try not to wear your favorite heels yet.

You can also take a pain reliever if you really cannot take the pain anymore. But if within three days, there are no signs of improvement at all, you really need to see the doctor. The treatment with your doctor can be painful and aggressive depending on the state of the condition.

To alleviate the pain, the doctor may give some pain relievers and anti biotics. He or she may also apply surgical processes like removing the ingrown using equipment and tools. There are also some ways in which the nail will be removed completely especially in worse case scenarios.

Learn to choose a trusted professional to clean your nails. If it is your first time to have someone else clean your nails, go to a salon that is recommended by most of your friends or family members. It is better to be safe than be sorry by choosing inexpensive services but the service providers are not that skilled.
