How The Procedure Of Breast Reduction Anchorage Goes

By Karina Frost

Now there are times when a woman would want to reduce the size of her breasts because they can actually be too big. Now if one would actually go through with this process, she would have excess tissues removed from her breasts so that they will become smaller. So for those who are interested in going through with the procedure of breast reduction Anchorage, here is how the process would go.

Of course the very first part of the process would be the preparation as the doctor would be briefing the patient of what will happen. Now before anything else, the patients will have to undergo some tests to see if her body can actually take the operation. Now from there, the doctor will then tell her to fast for six hours before the operation starts.

After the briefing of the operation, the doctor will then ask the patient on how the patient would want to go about. The doctor will be asking the patient how big of a reduction she would want on her breasts. From there, the doctor will use a pen or a marker to mark as to how much reducing he will do in the operation.

Now after the preparation, then the actual operation will actually be able to take place. Now do take note that the whole operation may take up to around two to three hours depending on how much the surgeons would be doing. From here, the fat will be removed from the lower part of the breast and the nipple will be pushed higher.

Of course this will actually leave a wound on the area where the excess fat was once. In order to cover it up, the doctors would stitch it up so that the newly operated breasts will stay in place. Once the operation is done, then the patient is brought to a recovery room to rest and recover.

Now one of the great things about this type of operation is that the patient does not need to stay too long in the hospitals but they may stay overnight if they would want. Now they would have to take painkillers every regularly so that the pain is reduced. The doctors will also be providing a certain type of support bra so that the patient will be more comfortable.

Now one of the things to take note of is that the breasts will definitely ache for a week or two. She should make sure that she does not do any strenuous activity in the healing period otherwise the stitch might actually break and get infected. So she should relax for the next few days until everything is back to normal.

In general, it will take around fourteen days before one can be able to go back to work. However, she should also be careful when she goes back to work since the wounds and the stitches are actually still quite fresh. After another few weeks, everything should be back to normal and one can resume with all the daily rituals and routines of her life.
