Try wearing water based make-up or no makeup at all to eliminate acne. Applying makeup to conceal your zits is tempting, but should be avoided because this may actually clog your pores. All you have to do is avoid using makeup on pimples and your pores will stay clean.

One thing you want to do to avoid pimples breakouts is to avoid tanning booths. These cause an unnatural buildup of pigment in your skin and release chemicals on the surface of your skin. This causes more blockage of oils in your pores, which leads to further zits breakouts.

An important tip to consider when concerning pimples is to not expect immediate results from anything that you attempt. This is important so that you have reasonable expectations for your treatments and also so that you do not attempt drastic methods to clear your skin such as popping acne or pimples. Everything concerning pimples will take time if done correctly.

Try to avoid going to bed with makeup on ever again. Sleeping in your makeup clogs pores and doesn't allow the skin to breath, causing acne that could have been easily avoided. It also rubs off onto your sheets and pillows, leaving behind bacteria and oils that you'll more than likely lay back in the next night.
