Breast Reduction As A Medical Procedure

By Janine Hughes

This procedure concerns the removal of some of the tissue and skin from the breasts of a lady in a bid to make them appear smaller in size, gain more shape and eventually look more attractive. This is often the case for those ladies who feel like their breasts are very large hence effecting their self-esteem. This article contains all information concerning breast reduction.

This procedure is done in the hospital and it is a surgical procedure. The surgeon first marks the parts to be worked on then with the help of his tools makes several cuts on this organ. This helps him remove excess tissue and fluid and after this is done he stitches it up and behold something new is created. Sometimes he even goes as far as taking the nipple out and repositioning it.

In the event that the patient in question suffers from extra amount of fat, the process can be made a success by just getting rid of that extra fat. It is done through a process called liposuction from the word lipid meaning that these lipids will just have to be sucked out. This makes them to appear way too small and more attractive and appealing to the eye which in return increases ones self worth.

There are times when the procedure just involved lifting of the breasts. This usually is in the event where the only condition of these organs is the fact that they appear to be low and sagging, in this scenario they are just given a push and made to be firm and erect, this leaves the patient feeling very confident in herself.

After this work is done, one may experience some little bit of pain which should not be a cause of alarm. This is because within no time, it will be all good and in at most three weeks they will be up and kicking and back to carrying out the day to day activities. A surgical bra may be given to help in the healing process and this one is supposed to be worn throughout.

One disadvantage of this process is that it leaves marks on the bodies of these women. One thing for sure is that all types of marks are not acceptable to the female gender. They like to have a flawless body which makes them look attractive especially during the summer when they have their bikinis on and they are able to show off their beauty to the world.

There are many benefits of carrying out this procedure. The long lost self esteem is given back and individuals are able to gain back that self love that once was. Women are all about appearance. This is the reason why they wear too much make up, once they look good, they also feel good and this is reflected both internally and externally.

In summation of the above, this is a very important process although at times it may be very expensive. The results of this surgical procedure are permanent. However, one may expect them to grow in size either during pregnancy, during the gaining or losing of weight. Risks include the leaving of scars which can fade over time and in case they are not of the same size one can have the procedure re-done.
