Equilibrium: Do Kettlebells Have a Place With Them?

By Rob Sutter

"Equilibrium" stands as a flick where one man has a revelation and works against everything that he had worked so hard to support. As a result of this, he had to to fight against the forces which wanted to manage the lives of others, not letting them to feel emotions. This man's ability to utilize blades alongside guns is second to none and it shows throughout the movie itself. In order for him to be an even more effective fighter, kettlebells could most certainly be put into application here.

John Preston, as a high-standing Grammaton Cleric of the rather constrictive Libria, is someone who has shown a great deal of versatility. This is mostly in the way that he goes about combat and I can't help but believe that kettlebells could work to make him that much stronger. When these are implemented, there's no doubt that there are several areas that can be helped, not limited to the arms. I don't think anyone can deny the success of such weights, as told from such fitness authorities as Lorna.

The reason that Preston went against the orders of those he worked with in the past was due to the absence of a drug. All of Libria's citizens had to inject themselves with a toxin that would cause them to not feel emotion. Everyone in the civilization is devoid of feeling, until Preston accidentally forgot to take his own dosage. Realizing the impact of emotion, Preston decided to start an underdog revolution to take on those who have created an environment that only George Orwell could have thought up.

When talking about Preston's competency to scrap, he has quite a few ways he can go about it. Not only is he able to evade bullets rather quickly but he can take up many kinds of weapons in order to take the fight to the enemy. He has been proven to cunning with a blade especially, his fast-paced motions able to bring down people at speeds which one would have only dreamed of otherwise. Along with being someone who was once in a rank of power, he's a fighter who is, to put it lightly, deadly.

As good as Preston can be with a variety of weapons, I still think that it'd be wise to use kettlebells. As someone who's been in contention with specialists, it's clear that they are going to throw all things - even including the kitchen sink - in his direction. Even though he's clearly robust in his own way, a little bit of assistance can help every facet of his being. The workouts where these weights are used greatly are the ones that will truly make Preston become unstoppable when fighting for liberty.
