Atlanta Dds Members Tend To Have Many Benefits

By Tammie Caldwell

Having tooth ache is not the nicest thing to have as it can make one feel truly under the weather. Going to the dentist is also rather frightening as not all dentists are gentle and do not have much of a bedside manner. At all of the Atlanta DDS each dentist will do their utmost to ensure that one is comfortable and at ease.

To become a dentist one will need to compete many years of education as well at training and then residency. Deciding on the specialty can be difficult as it can either be general, paediatrics or maxillofacial surgery. In some cases training in management as well as communication will give one that extra advantage when it comes to dealing with the public.

In 100 BC a Roman medical writer wrote many articles about oral hygiene as well as new methods of holding loose teeth in place. New treatments for pain and toothache as well as jaw fractures where discussed at length. Then in 162 and 100 AD the first practise of gold crowns and bridgework was introduced.

In some of the medical professions doctors are not allowed to prescribe drugs but all dentists are cleared and can prescribe sedatives as well as antibiotics to their patients in helping to clear up any problems. Each and every dentist will encourage their patients to visit at least twice a year or every six months. This will be for checkups as well as any cleaning and evaluations that one might need.

Later Pierre Fauchard who was a French surgeon published another book and was named the father of modern dentistry as it described the oral structure and functions as well as therapeutic and operation techniques and construction. In 1746 Clause Mouton discovered that the gold crown can be changed to enamel which made the appearance of fillings much more appealing. Fifteen years later the first medically trained dentist arrived in America from England and set up his practise.

Another is the Clayton State University and is only about sixteen kilometers out of town. One will be able to earn a bachelors degree in dental hygiene and health care. It is ranked number eight in the best public colleges by the United States News and World Report. It is situated on wooden grounds that is very much like a park and is only one hundred and ninety two acres big. It has approximately seven thousand students with two hundred and eight academic staff.

They have nine different graduate programs and also have an on campus housing facility. All in all there are four hundred and fifty one beds and the students are also able to enjoy a gigabyte Internet service in their residence hall. Many of their students are adult learners while only one third is below the age of twenty two.

They can offer different options when it comes to payment so that each person can afford proper dental care. They accept checks, cash as well as CareCredit and Visa cards. If one has to pay off the account monthly just speak to them for it to be arranged.
