How To Feel Like A Kid Again

By Richardo Manning

Let's face it. Bouncy houses are fun. Super fun. But for most grown-ups, they also come with that sickening feeling in the pit of your stomach. As great as it is to watch your kid bounce around with that gleeful smile on his or her face, it's equally awful to have to pull them out crying from some kind of accident. As fun as bouncy houses can be, they are undeniably dangerous. So do you just make them stay out forever? That's up to you. If you do decide to let them go on bouncing, here are a few tips to minimize the risk and keep your babies safe!

Every year at a younger and younger age, children own electronics or even smart phones that are able to download games and applications to entertain them. Children no longer have any obligation to go anywhere for anything as they can do practically anything they want via the Internet. As they have lost the motivation to get up and go, they have also started to lose interest.

Before you let your kid jump in, check out the bouncy house first. There are several things to look for. First, check out the surroundings. If a bouncy house is too close to a wall, a house, a cotton candy stand, or whatever else, safety nets might stop a flying body before it hits one of these solid objects. Second, make sure the bouncy house is staked securely to the ground. Outdoor bouncy houses have been known to be caught up in big bursts of wind and flown off, people and all. Third, look for an inspection sticker. Only a handful of states actually require inspections, but if you do find a sticker, you can feel more secure about letting your kid in.

Establish Rules

If you are willing to pay the big bucks, you can go to a place where everyone is treated like princes and princesses. Find the kid inside of you at theme parks like Universal or Walt Disney World through riding rides and meeting old favorite characters. Age doesn't matter when it comes to dreams coming true.

The best way to teach your child how to have fun by not just playing video games or watching mindless television is to lead by example. Even if you are not a professional baseball player, playing a game of catch with your son can make a huge difference in his life. He sees that you aren't wasting time inside watching television at all hours of the day and he will strive to do the same.

Although less a problem for kids, it still might be smart to make sure your kids aren't wearing any jewelry, hair pins, or anything that could hurt them or other children in case of a collision. Chopsticks in the hair, for example, would be a very bad idea.

For special events and activities, consider renting an inflatable bounce house in Utah. Not only are they safer than trampolines as they provide cushioning to fall on, but they are also clean. Children and adults alike love to use them and the bouncy houses keep you working out while still having a great time with family and friends. Don't reward your children with food, healthy or otherwise, when they have won something. Reward them with something fun that will continue to keep them active - such as an inflatable rental house in Utah.
