People get sick during the entire year but the winter time seems like a really difficult time of year for the immune system. It's hard to drive back a flu when you're struggling to stay warm. It's very difficult to keep the colds away when you are stuck inside a stuffy office or house all day and can't get any fresh air. Cold and flu microbes seem to flourish a lot faster in a home that has closed windows all day. Here are some things you can do to improve your immune system.



Regular physical exercise is important. Regular and reliable physical exercise will make you sweat and raise your endorphin levels. Not only can it assist you to stay in good shape and regulate your weight, getting regular exercise will make your immune system stronger too. The endorphins that run through your body won't just help boost your mood during the colder and darker winter months. They increase the vitality of your immune system which makes it better able to protect against infections. There have been studies done that declare people who exercise five out of seven days a week take half as much sick time as people who don't get that same level of exercise in the winter.

Massages are excellent. Do you really require an excuse to treat your self to a morning of pampering? In particular, Swedish massages have shown to be helpful in preventing colds and flues. Massages may help raise your blood circulation and will activate the cells that are most beneficial in keeping cold and flu germs from infecting the body. If you require help with relaxing this sort of rub down is also very helpful. If you aren't tensed up from pressure, it is simpler to achieve all sorts of things.

You may be tempted to lock yourself away from social contact for a few weeks. The less time you spend with other folks, the less likely you will be to come into contact with something that makes you sick, right? That is, technically, the truth. Your doctor could be able to offer you some surprising information for fighting off illness during "flu season".
