Cover Up Your Acne By Trying The Use Of Face Tanning Lotions

By Haywood Hunter

Just about every teenager will complain, at some point, about acne. For them, this is equivalent to a life altering event when a breakout occurs before a date or other social function. For the kids that struggle with no only the occasional zit, but zits covering their entire face, it can be even worse. Luckily, face tanning lotions are a quick solution for hiding these breakouts.

It is often suggested to spend as much time as possible bathing in the sun or tanning bed if you want to get rid of an acne problem. Another suggestion is to spend a lot of time in chlorinated pool water to dry up some of the oil in the skin. Research does not support any of these claims, but many people still swear by them as the best remedy.

There problem with use these old home remedies is the risk they pose. Too much exposure to harsh UV rays increases to risk of skin cancer. Too much chlorine can over dry the skin, making an acne problem even worse. Face tanning lotions are a lot safer to use and allow the problem to be hidden while a remedy can be found.

Makeup is a common go to solution for an acne problem as well, but the overall effectiveness of this method is lacking. Face tanning lotions cover problematic skin much more effectively. By having a tanned skin tone, pimples are easier to disguise and there isn't so much focus on them when they are on the face or the body.

Face tanning lotions conceal the redness and inflammation of acne, making bumps much less visible than they would be on paler skin. By doing nothing more than covering up this redness with face tanning lotions, most of the attention to the area is removed. Once there is an even skin tone to work with, the bumps are the easiest part of the problem to conceal. The redness is usually the portion of the problem that most people hate dealing with the most. The red color looks patchy and makes the skin look unhealthy. Without the redness, the pimples don't even look too bad.

Face tanning lotions should be applied in a thin layer, making it feel lighter compared to makeup, with a much better results. Face tanning lotions won't dry and flake around pimples like makeup, which is what often draws the attention. Face tanning lotions cover them up without leaving behind anything that would draw attention.

Concealers are available with claims that they can cover any blemish, but in reality they are only effective on things like dark circles under the eyes. Foundation is also needed when using concealer so that the color can be blended in evenly. With the addition of the makeup, you are right back at the beginning of the problem with flakes again.

Face tanning lotions were meant to be used for safe tanning purpose, but they have emerged as a safe acne coverage method as well. The skin doesn't dry out and the acne problem doesn't get worse in the process. Face tanning lotions are light in application and make the skin look healthy.
