How Beauty Supply Affects Video Game Females

By Rob Sutter

Video games in which there is a rich cast of characters will most likely have a standout female in the mix. These titles, in most cases, are dominated by male characters, so it's important to make the females stand out and I feel like this has been done quite well. In fact, both attitude and aesthetic have come together to make memorable or well-written characters. In terms of aesthetics, beauty supply can most certainly change from one girl to another due to various appearances.

Females may take a minimalist approach in terms of beauty supply and the leading girl of gaming, Princess Peach, follows this rule. In short, she may just be the most simplistic female in any game aside from her wide pink dress. Peach's face seems to have an innocent complexion with eyes of blue and hair of gold, giving her an almost perfect aesthetic. The products that she would buy from companies like NewVo Beauty would probably only cover the bare essentials and nothing more.

For females who have much different appearances, you're going to want to look at the title character of "Alice: Madness Returns." A darker, Tim Burton-esque take on the classic fairytale, she is someone who changes attires throughout the game, depending on where she's located. Nonetheless, she retains a pale complexion with straight, dark hair with piercing green eyes. She's not someone who seems to utilize much in the way of beauty products, either, and you could probably make that assumption once you look at her.

Peach and Alice obviously are characters and one can tell, but what about those who share features of real women? Elena Fischer from "Uncharted" definitely seems to be one, especially when you consider that scans were done to give her an actress' look in the game. You would imagine that, along with having human-like goals, she would have human-like ways of keeping herself looking pretty. Her goals and ambitions make sense as well, since she isn't spending her time in a world brimming with fantasy.

These characters are varied in terms of how they look and that's part of what makes them so interesting. They should not have to be realistic and, in fact, I would recommend more creativity be put into effect here. It's not just in how people look, either, but it's certainly a quality that has to be looked at if there's a desire to make a connection with that entity in particular. These ladies and then some are ones who I would imagine utilizing different beauty tips.
