Kettlebell Exercises Beat Treadmills Any Day

If you flip on the TV in those early morning hours when sleep is elusive or, sadly enough, you just need to be awake at that hour, then you've probably seen your fair share of infomercials. Many of them are geared towards fitness and advertise workouts that promise incredible results in shorter and shorter amounts of time (with less effort.) The truth is, many well-known workout regimes are a scam, but kettlebells and kettlebell exercises will give you just what you're looking for: an effective workout in arather short amount of time.

First off we should compare kettlebells to a blatant offender; the 15 minute workout. Obviously a 15 minute workout seems too good to be true and that is because it is. You cannot possibly get the workout for a toned, lean and sculpted body in 15 minutes. That doesn't even give a person enough time to warm up and cool down right. Any workout that is providing results in short periods of times is nearly always a scam. The only way to complete a quick and efficient workout is to utilize kettlebells and kettlebell exercises. The fact of the matter is kettlebells engage your whole body and numerous muscle groups concurrently and require less time than a traditionally effective workout on something such as a treadmill.

Another widely known product sold on infomercials is the electronic ab exercises. The science behind these miniature torture devices is that weight loss can be actualized through electronic impulses that send weak electrical shocks directly to the body causing muscles to tighten. Regardless of the fact that these machines are widely used in the medical field there is not guarantee it helps people lose weight. The only real way to lose weight is to through the exertion of energy which will increase your heart rate. Allowing a machine to do the work for you doesn't actually aid the body. Kettlebells however, require physical effort and mental concentration which always yields positive results.

A third myth to bust is the supplements that claim to be workouts "in a bottle." These are similar to electric ab waistbands in that they are supposed to provide results with no effort. Even though supplements and vitamins are complimentary of a healthier lifestyle they most definitely do not replace an entire workout. The saying "no pain no gain" really rings true when working out. Kettlebell exercises allow you to feel the way the weights are working and shaping your body. You can literally feel that you are challenging yourself.

Kettlebells and kettlebell exercises are a great way to work out and get your body in shape-and unlike so many of the scams out there, they actually work. So the next time you notice the same "that seems too good to be true" workout practice, remember that it most likely is, and give those kettlebells a try!
