Kinds And Key Health Benefits Of Juicers

By Landon Porter

As the health craze continues to spread throughout the world, people are looking for more ways to eat better and make sure they get the proper nutrition. Juicers can help to achieve this goal by pulling out key vitamins, minerals and enzymes from produce consumed every day. This process removes the need to cook, which can cause a loss of benefits.

You receive such benefits from juicing as faster transportation of nutrients into the bloodstream and the ability to get more in one glassful than in a heap of normal produce. By consuming more fruits and vegetables, you will also benefit from a significant energy boost that outweighs most that are received after drinking a caffeinated beverage. By increasing the amount of minerals and vitamins that you intake, you also give your immune system a healthy boost that will help you to keep from getting sick.

Many people use blender to mix their fruits and vegetables with other products and create a smoothie. While this also provides key benefits, it does not break down the produce in the way that a juicing machine does. The latter process removes the fiber, or pulp, of the produce, thereby leaving only the juice. Blending, on the other hand, will include everything that is put into the machine including pits, seeds and pulp.

There are a few primary types of juicers available on the market today. The first is a masticating machine which actually chews the food by operating at a slower speed. Nutritionally, this type of machine provides a great benefit because it creates less foam and pulls more vitamins and nutrients from the produce. A person can typically juice any type of food using this version.

The second type is the twin-gear, or triturating, juicer. This is the most beneficial of all that are available and operates even slower than the masticating version. By rolling the produce between two gears, the machine is able to squeeze out more of the nutrients from the plants.

The version that most people tend to buy is the centrifugal machine because it is the fastest operating and usually the least expensive. This versions grates the food, then squeezes out the liquid. While it does work, it does not reap the same amount of nutrients as the first two.

Spinach, wheatgrass and leafy greens are very popular because of their immense amount of vitamins and minerals. However, they can be very difficult to get a lot of juice from. Using a masticating or a twin-gear machine will provide the greatest results.

Experimentation or using recipes from the internet can help people to create tasty beverages that they will like to consume. There are many different recipes available. Nearly all produce can be juiced and by mixing several different varieties together, people can learn what they like and receive the greatest amount of benefits.

There are three different versions of juicers available for purchase on the market today. By choosing one and making use of it, a person can help to increase his overall health. The beverage obtained from this process is far more healthy than the majority people consume today.
