Why Athletes Are Including The Vibration Exercise Machine In Their Exercise Regimens

By Lindia P. Wardeer

Professional athletes have always had their tricks and secrets for training and staying in shape, and many of them rely on a vibration exercise machine to accomplish this task. This kind of machine has a platform that the person stands on, handles to hold on to (if needed), and a monitor that shows time and other statistics. These types of machines offer programs that can be used for conditioning, strength training, and even massage therapy. A person does not have to be an athlete to gain from these machines, and they can support all people regardless of their skill or fitness levels.

The vibration exercise machine is most commonly integrated into the warm up workout for an athlete. The athlete's muscles are prepared to function at their best because the machine is said to wake up the person's neural system. The machine causes several rapid muscle contractions which gets the blood flowing and gets the body ready for exercise without straining or exhausting a person out. Before a major competition or match, athletes will opt to warm up on these machines.

Athletes also use the vibration exercise machine to assist in strength training as well as in the warm up exercise routine. Athletes can improve their strength, stability, and speed because the equipment works out both the fast twitch and slow twitch muscle fibers. Routines on the machine are typically 15 minutes or less which also spares athletes hours of precious time in the gym. They can use the extra time to focus on other workouts that focus on the areas that are important for their sport.

After a big competition or match, athletes' bodies have typically been forced to their limits. Without the correct recovery techniques, the athlete could suffer from an injury or experience pain and soreness. Whole body vibration can serve as a type of massage therapy to help relax and loosen up the muscles over the entire body. The vibrations will also increase circulation which can aid in the healing and recovery of any injury that the athlete may have endured.

In order to be successful, athletes have to depend on their bodies to perform at their overall best. This requires a great amount of exercise, conditioning, and training. In order to accomplish this, athletes have started to work with a vibration exercise machine. It is becoming more popular for athletes to use whole body vibration prior to, throughout, or after a workout in order to achieve and maintain their fitness goals.
