Selenium helps protect against deterioration caused by free radicals. There are many other health issues that selenium is important for treating - many different types of infections, cancer, and heart disease, for instance. It is particularly useful in fighting against the bacteria that takes up residence in your gut area. It's easy to figure out which of your recipes will be enhanced if you add Brazil Nuts. They complement many dishes. Toss a handful into your salad for a great tasting protein boost. You can also eat Brazil Nuts fresh.

Raw kale is what you want to eat, as it's better for you than cooked kale. Raw kale is one of the very best forms of vitamin C that you can find.
