Facts About Tanning Pills For All People

By Haywood Hunter

There is much information to be found about tanning pills. Searching the Internet brings up many opinions, some medical, some professional, some personal. All of these opinions should be read and thought should be given to the idea before you take them.

Many people prefer to look tanned all year round. It can take years from your appearance and make you look healthier and slimmer. There are other methods used to keep a tan, such as salons and skin dyes. However, each method has some risk, either in appearance or health-wise. Creams, sprays and lotions can leave behind a residue on the skin if they are not high-quality.

Spending a lot of time out in the sun is the most hazardous method that people use to darken their skin. This is hazardous because the harsh UV rays of the sun can cause cancer and skin issues. Taking a pill is often preferred over taking the risk of a severe health problem or a possible allergic reaction to dying creams.

Pills work better for some people than they do for others. Everyone is unique and their bodies and skin will differ from others. Skin can react differently from one person to another.

People sometimes take them while they are also going to a salon or using a tanning bed. This can be beneficial depending on what type of skin a person has. They may have to deal with side effects such as rashes, orange skin or skin that has darkened too much. Unfortunately, once a pill has been taken, it cannot be washed off and must be given time to be flushed out of the system.

There are vitamins included in most sunless tanning pills. The pigment enhancing ingredients are also included. They are not yet approved by the FDA and are still being studied and researched. Clinics and doctors sometimes have pamphlets and brochures to help explain the benefits and hazards from taking them.
