Should Kettlebells Find Their Way In Wrestling?

By Rob Sutter

For anyone who has ever watched a professional wrestling exhibit in their lives, I am sure that you know as well as anyone just how important it is to keep in shape. Physical feats such as suplexes and slams are actions that need not only force but maneuverability as well. These people want to be sure that they can fulfill what's required of them during every nightly show. Kettlebells can do exactly that for the people who must fight and show just why they deserve their spots.

This is especially true for wrestlers who have to move about in many kinds of ways, making use of high-flying moves in particular. I believe the best example in the modern era to reference would have to be Rey Mysterio. Even though he has been in the business for a good quantity of years, I don't think there's any question that this proficient athlete has been renown thanks to his risk-taking moves that involve taking to the air. Along with other short moves, Mysterio is one instance where these weights can come in handy.

Kettlebells have the propensity to help just about anyone when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. Lorna, amongst other fitness authorities in the world, will be able to tell you that these weights and their versatility can benefit just about anyone's physical stature. These differ from the dumbbells which may come to mind because of just how many movements you can make. You'll be able to attain success with these, provided you understand the level of maneuverability to put into use.

How many athletes do you think become injured in wrestling in today's day and age, whether or not smart weights are used? In the WWE, for instance, it seems like more people are becoming injured, which leaves them taking more time off than what may be necessary. I believe a litany of factors play into this, though stronger workouts certainly have the potential to help the situation. When I think of such weights on the matter, kettlebells stand head and shoulders above all else.

When deliberating on these ideas, I think that wrestlers stand a great chance of utilizing these weights from day to day. They need to stay in perfect condition, which is difficult to do when one thinks about it because how frequently they are on the road. Between getting good training in and consuming the right kind of food, sometimes this becomes much more of a challenge than it has any right to be. Kettlebells may be helpful here and we may just see less people becoming hurt and more of them thriving in the competitive scene.
