Make Your Own Oatmeal Facials at Home with these Simple Recipes

By Christina Aguilar

Skin treatments with natural ingredients are preferred by many people. There's no reason to spend money at the spa, after all, when you can get the same results with ingredients found in your kitchen.

Some people use homemade facials to save money; others because of sensitivity to the chemicals in mass produced products. For others, the natural ingredients are the main reason for making their own. No matter why you want to homemade facials, explore those using oatmeal because oatmeal is great for the skin. Here are a few oatmeal facial recipes that you can use.

Use your microwave to warm up half a cup of water. Mix together some instant oatmeal, some honey, a tablespoon of cinnamon, and toddlers' milk in a bowl. Then, form a paste by adding the heated water to the bowl. Test the temperature of the paste to make sure it won't burn you, then, apply to your face. Apply evenly over your face, avoiding your eyes. Leave the mask on your face for 30 to 60 minutes. Use water and papaya soap, usually found in the organic section of the grocery store, to wash it off. If you can't find papaya soap or don't want to use it, you can use whatever soap you have on hand. Pound some oatmeal in your blender or food processor. In a different container, stir together a couple tablespoons of honey with a quarter cup of plain yogurt of buttermilk. Add together the mixtures until you have made a paste. Spread the mixture all over your face with your fingers. Be mindful of steering clear of your eyes and the areas near them as this skin is pretty sensitive, even to unprocessed ingredients. Keep this paste on your face for around fifteen minutes, until it begins to dry out. Use clean and warm water to wash the substance off your face. If you have any extra, put it aside in the fridge for tomorrow (although, don't put it in there for more than a day). This fusion is kind enough that you can utilize it on a daily basis if you so desire.

If you suffer with dry skin try this recipe. Use a tablespoon of dry oatmeal to massage your skin first. Now add a mashed banana and some yogurt together and spread just like a moisturizing cream you buy at the store. Avoid the eyes as you spread this evenly over your skin. Let sit for up to 30 minutes and rinse with clean warm water.

As you can see there are many types of facial methods you can choose from especially when you read about the Meaningful Beauty reviews. Try to remember that if you have sensitive skin, you should do a patch test for each recipe before you spread them across your whole face. Don't go to the expensive spa when you are likely to find a recipe right at home that will do the trick.
